When you need to admit what you actually want
James 1:5
Ask God for wisdom and expect Him to give it generously.
When you need to admit what you actually want. You can look completely fine on the outside while this is doing a number on you inside. The first feeling is not always the problem. The problem is what you let that feeling authorize. Fear can authorize control. Rejection can authorize chasing. Shame can authorize hiding. Exhaustion can authorize choices you would not make from a clear mind. You do not need omniscience to make a faithful decision. Jesus Christ can direct a surrendered person one step at a time. The goal today is not to control the outcome. It is to stay aligned with Christ while the outcome is still unknown.
What would change if you stopped treating this moment like a verdict?
Jesus Christ, show me what is true in this situation and expose the story I have added to it. Give me wisdom for my part, courage to obey You, and enough trust to leave the outcome in Your hands. Amen.
